Overload....Overload....Overload!!!

Alright –

whether you are experienced or brand-spanking-new to this internet marketing industry, there have probably been at least a few times that you have felt so overwhelmed with your business that you didn’t know what to do next. So much so that it kept you from moving forward. If that is where you are right now – pay close attention.

This is the point at which many a marketer with great potential will throw their arms up in the air in absolute disgust and walk away from this industry.

Starting your own home based internet business can be a daunting task – especially if you have little experience online, not much computer experience, and you have never run your own business. Anyone who tries to tell you differently is a bold-faced liar.

Many online businesses are designed so that they can be run by anyone with any skill set. They do their best to set things up in a logical way, but to the newbie, nothing about it seems logical at all. It seems as though it was brought in from outer space.

So, there you sit all signed up in your new business, all the instructions laid out in what is supposed to be easy-to-understand format… and you look at it, and you look at it, and you take a deep breath and look at it some more. There’s just so much to look at and read, and you wonder how you will ever learn it all or get through it at all… and you start to panic. It starts as a tightening in your stomach. Works its way up your back to your shoulders… pretty soon, you have a nasty, full-blown headache and you have to go lie down.

After an hour, you get up and go back to your computer and you look at the home business instructions again. You look at the website again. Then you take a deep breath, shake your head, turn off your computer, and go to the kitchen for food…

As you prepare that food you wonder ...... how you will ever learn all that stuff. It seems like a mountain of information that you will never be able to master…...

Ok, stop right here. We need to change your thoughts. You ARE going to climb that big overwhelming mountain. And you won’t have to do it alone. First of all, sit in a comfy chair and just breathe! Close your eyes and take a couple of nice deep breaths. Yes, doesn't that feel good! Ok, keep your eyes closed and visualize that big mountain. Yep, it is big. It’s really big. It’s looming over you like the Redwood Forests. Yes, we WILL climb that mountain, but first we are going to flip it.

Can you see that mountain hovering over you, with its big flat bottom hanging right over your head? Reach up and grab the edge of it and flip it over so that it’s like a big inverted triangle with the pointy end above your head and the big flat side way above you like an umbrella. Now, doesn’t that feel better!?

Ok, now grab onto the pointy end and pull yourself up. As soon as you do this, something really strange happens. The mountain rights itself, and suddenly, you are on top of that mountain of information (this happens because you are taking control).
Now that you are on top of the mountain, it will be much easier for you to sort through all the details when you get to the bottom of the mountain.

You are currently at the beginning of your home based internet business; there are only a few details that you really need to pay attention to; so that you can begin to climb down that mountain, one step at a time until you reach level ground.

No, do not take a nose dive off the top of the mountain to get to the bottom of the mountain more quickly, while hoping to absorb every detail as you fly by on the way down. This would only result in crashing at the bottom in a heap of confusion, and while that’s one choice you could make, don't do it. Trust me, it’s messy.

You need to walk. Not run, jump, skip or tumble, but ...... walk down that mountain. With each step you will gain a little more knowledge and a little more confidence.
